At LEGAL|SQUARE, we pride ourselves on being an international law firm, rooted in ethics, professionalism, and excellence. We are currently recruiting an IT Support Specialist (m/f) to join our team in Lisbon!
Responsibilities
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be essential in supporting our internal teams while contributing significantly to the company's digital transformation, with a focus on:
- Provide day-to-day IT support to attorneys, paralegals, and staff, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently;
- Troubleshoot network, email, and system connectivity problems to minimize downtime;
- Manage and maintain office equipment, including computers, printers, and telecommunication systems;
- Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up workstations, user accounts, and software access;
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices, conduct system updates, and monitor for potential security threats;
- Support and troubleshoot legal software and cloud-based platforms such as Google Workspace, Egnyte, and other document management or case management systems;
- Implement and manage CRM and legal case management solutions to optimize workflow and client management;
- Configure, maintain, and support software applications and internal tools to optimize workflows;
- Assist with website configuration, updates, and basic development tasks to ensure online presence is up to date;
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for IT-related issues and improvements.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a related field;
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues;
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining office IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, and telecommunication systems;
- Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Google Workspace, Egnyte, and CRM or legal case management solutions;
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including system updates, threat monitoring, and endpoint security;
- Familiarity with macOS operating systems, as well as mobile device management;
- Basic understanding of website maintenance, updates, and configurations;
- Ability to configure and support software applications to optimize workflows.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist attorneys, paralegals, and staff;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment;
- High level of attention to detail and ability to document IT processes and troubleshooting steps;
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with external vendors and service providers.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferential but not mandatory);
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or system administration, preferably in a professional services environment (law firm experience is a plus).
