Merlin-Edged has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager on their Lisbon Development ( In this position you will work directly with Regional Project Director and be responsible for a Data Center construction Project Management activity. We are looking for someone who has experience in Project Management in Constriction Project of critical infrastructures.
The Project Manager needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing construction environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. The Project Manager is a vital member of Merlin-Edged team. We are looking for someone who has experience in the construction industry and understand the processes for building industrial buildings in Portugal. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the construction of the sites being built by Edged Spain.
- Supervising contractors and suppliers’ performance on field.
- Anticipate risks and potential impacts on H&S, environment, quality, cost and/or programme.
- Problem solving
- Reviewing the Designs for the sites and commenting as appropriate.
- Assisting in the discussions with the Utility Companies.
- Preparing the Tenders for tendering to consultants and contractors as required.
- Preparing reports for the Edged line management for the various sites under your control
- Preparing cost plans and programmes for ongoing projects on the sites.
- Working closely with the operations and sales teams to ensure that new customers can be accommodated within the Data Centres.
- Being the on-site go to person for any building or upgrade work on the site.
Skills & Requirements
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience in working in the Data Center construction industry or similar area
- Proven track record managing complex projects
- Mechanical and electrical education preferred
